Knitting Hands is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing warmth and comfort to elderly, children and dogs during the winter months through hand-knit scarves, beanies, blankets, baby-blankets, dog sweaters and more. The organization recognizes that many older adults may face financial constraints or orphanages have limited access to warm clothing for children and babies.

Donation

To sustain its operations, Knitting Hands relies on donations from individuals, corporate sponsorships, and grants from foundations that support initiatives benefiting the elderly and community welfare. Fundraising events, crowdfunding campaigns, and partnerships with local businesses are also organized to generate financial support for the organization. We accept any donations from money donations to yarn and knitting needles.

Volunteer

 Knitting Hands relies on a dedicated team of volunteers who have knitting skills or are willing to learn. These volunteers can be from all age groups and backgrounds, including experienced knitters, knitting enthusiasts, or individuals who want to contribute to the community. If you want to volunteer as a knitting hands helper or join our knitting circles to learn more about knitting patterns and techniques, sign up to our programs.

penny for pension 

Penny for pension is solely based on donating or supplying yarn, knitting needles and more to the elderly, this will enable them to knit winter wear and various patterns that Knitting Hands can buy from them and enable pensioners an opportunity to make a little extra money on the side. Those knitted items will then be donated to our various organizations and charities. If you are or know anyone who qualifies as a pensioner and would like to make an extra penny, sign up to our penny for pension program.
